Our Mission, Our Values

                 

YIA maintains and supports quality programs for students in grades 9-12.  We promote positive youth development and public service values, and encourage St. Louis County youth to become young leaders who are better engaged with their communities.  At the same time, we work to bring positive changes to Minnesota through partnerships with area businesses, organizations and elected officials.

You do not want to miss this annual event where well over 300 students from more than a dozen schools converge on Fortune Bay Resort! You get to choose to attend three of eight or intriguing workshops presented by students!! There will be entertainment and good food also so be sure to attend:)

Our Program

                YIA is a St. Louis County Youth Program in conjunction with local government-City's and School Boards, serving 400 youth participants in 15 high schools within 37 communities in Minnesota. Through service learning projects and other activities, high school students gain leadership skills and civic engagement volunteer experience.
